We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Johnston, Iowa. This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of accounting principles and a minimum of two years of experience. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting year-end processes.

Responsibilities:
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely recording and payment of invoices.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the general ledger.
• Conduct account reconciliations, including credit card and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in year-end financial activities and provide support during audits.
• Review and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain organized and detailed financial records for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting challenges and streamline processes.

• Minimum of two years of accounting experience with a focus on attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

• Experience with bank and account reconciliations, including credit card reconciliation.

• Familiarity with balance sheet account reconciliation.

• Ability to work effectively in a contract role and adapt to project-specific needs.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

NetSuite experience a plus!
