Job Description

A healthcare network is actively seeking a Gastroenterologist to provide locums coverage. The physician will deliver GI consults, procedures, and longitudinal care.

About the Opportunity

• Schedule: Outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and endoscopy blocks
• Specialty: Gastroenterology

Key Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, polypectomy, etc.).
• Diagnose and manage GI disorders (IBD, liver disease, GERD).
• Provide inpatient GI consults and manage emergencies (GI bleeds, obstructions).
• Collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, and dietitians.
• Document procedures and patient encounters in EMR.

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

• Licensure: Active and unrestricted state license.
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Preferred: Advanced endoscopy training.
