About the Role

The General Manager works closely with patients, ensures the team adheres to established policies and procedures, supervises team members, oversees dispensary operations, and strives to provide a wonderful patient experience. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall success of the dispensary and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the flagship store experience in the Heart of Bourbon Street
• Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
• Keeps abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends.
• Processes patients payments using the dispensary's POS system.
• Ensures that the store is clean and well-organized at all times.
• Ensures company policies and procedures are followed.
• Hires, trains, and supports new employees.
• Resolves customer issues.
• Oversee daily operations across in-store departments such as patient processing, entertainment/talent, inventory management, and additional support functions.
• Provides leadership and direction to all employees.
• Works closely with ownership to ensure stores are profitable and reputable.
• Ensures an excellent standard of customer service is upheld.
• Maintains the store to high standards, includes stocking products and regular cleaning.
• Completes tasks assigned by the ownership accurately and efficiently.
• Takes inventory of cannabis products and ensures that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
• Maintains compliance by following the proper policies and procedures set by the company and the state.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or can substitute experience for degree.
• 5 + Years of Experience as a General Manager or other Senior Retail Leadership position
• Ability to pass a background check

Required Skills

• Proven operational excellence in high-volume sales environments
• Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Work well with other team members.
• Be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development.
• Ability to work autonomously when required.
• Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
