Responsibilities: Analyze loan files thoroughly to ensure compliance with company, investor, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA/VA guidelines. Underwrite the entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans to ensure an investment-quality loan product. Verify the accuracy of calculations and data integrity. Complete all required underwriting worksheets and checklists. Be available to assist processors, loan officers, and other team members with guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files. Respond promptly to post-closing reviews and audits. Qualifications: Knowledge of home loans and residential mortgages such as conventional, VA, FHA, and USDA loans, and loan products. Proficiency with automated underwriting systems and Microsoft Office. Strong decision-making and communication skills. B.S. in business or a related field required. 10+ years of mortgage underwriting experience required.
