Performs skilled services for repair, recoating, preparing and painting of physical plant surfaces and other equipment. Performs a variety of tasks requiring skills and expertise to enhance the aesthetics of the physical plant associated equipment, such as but not limited to doors, framing, cabinetry, furniture, mill work and wall finishes. Must possess the ability to diagnose and select a course of action regarding preparation and application of protective coatings. Assists management in maintaining an inventory of supplies, tools and equipment for the painting department.
High School graduate or GED required. Minimum 5 years relevant experience and able to demonstrate ability to perform advanced preparation and application of various types of coatings. Must be able to read and understand manuals, written documentation and manufacturer's instructions.
