JCW Search is currently recruiting on behalf of a Wealth Management client in Fairfield County looking for a senior level Trust Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer a portfolio of personal trusts, estates, agency accounts, and guardianships in accordance with governing documents and state/federal fiduciary regulations.
• Interpret trust instruments; ensure distributions, tax payments, and asset management decisions align with fiduciary standards.
• Maintain regular communication with grantors, beneficiaries, attorneys, and accountants; document all substantive interactions.
• Identify issues related to cash flow, investment policy, tax compliance, and trust mechanics; escalate when appropriate.
• Partner with investment teams to review asset allocation, performance, and suitability relative to trust objectives.
• Support new business activity through referral partners and participate in prospect meetings as needed.
• Ensure timely, accurate completion of annual reviews, administrative checklists, and regulatory reporting.

Required Experience & Skills

• 510+ years in trust administration, estate settlement, or fiduciary services.
• Strong knowledge of fiduciary law, trust structures, and Connecticut-specific trust/estate requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents.
• Consistent record of maintaining beneficiary relationships with professionalism and clarity.
• CTFA, CFA, or CFP preferred but not required.
