Role Overview:
We’re looking for a passionate and curious Entry-Level Software Engineer to join our growing remote team. This is a great opportunity for a recent Computer Science graduate or someone with hands-on familiarity in building tech products to work on real-world solutions with meaningful social impact.
You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to build scalable, user-friendly applications, and learn the full lifecycle of modern product development.
Responsibilities:
Assist in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software components for the SchoolRyde platform.
Work with modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
Collaborate with the team to integrate AI/ML-driven insights into our products.
Learn and contribute to code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
Participate in building and improving our cloud-based infrastructure.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and development practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
0–2 years of software development experience (internship or personal projects count!).
Familiarity with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar).
Basic understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Curiosity about AI/ML technologies and their real-world applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
