A growing organization is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Staff Accountant to join its finance team. As a newly created position, our client is seeking an accounting professional with strong experience in accounts payable and an eagerness to contribute to both day-to-day operations and broader financial reporting. This role is ideal for an AP professional with strong technical skills and an interest in contributing to both daily operations and month-end close!

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment.
• Ensure timely, accurate vendor invoice entry and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage vendor onboarding and maintain compliance documentation.
• Assign GL codes, monitor AP aging, and prepare accruals.
• Support month-end close with journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of AP experience.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Experience with Oracle or NetSuite a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
