\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work as a Registered Nurse in Progressive Care Unit/Medical Intermediate (PCU/MI)
\n• Maintain 1:5 patient ratios during days, nights, and weekends
\n• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required
\n• Must have full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
\n• Care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including gall bladder surgery, appendix surgery, hysterectomy, chest pain rule out, nausea/vomiting rule out, sepsis, and heart failure
\n• Manage post catheterization patients
\n• Handle telemetry monitoring on the unit
\n• Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, pacemaker management, feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, heparin protocols, cardiac drip titration, and wound care
\n• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
\n• Regular floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
\n• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
\n• Wear navy scrubs
\n• Use EPIC charting system with 12 hours orientation and 3 hours pre-start EMR modules
\n• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks
\n• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
\n• Free parking provided

\nThis community hospital features 240 staffed beds including a 16-bed ICU and operates a 33-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 30 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern equipment and technology to support quality healthcare delivery.
