Overview

This Sr. Retail Marketing Copywriter role is responsible for leading the development of high‑performing, strategically driven copy across digital, print, social media, email, and web channels.

The Copywriter will play a key role in elevating brand voice, strengthening performance marketing efforts, and driving conversion-focused content initiatives. This position requires a blend of conceptual creativity, data-informed decision making, and strong collaboration with creative, marketing, and cross-functional partners.

Type: Direct hire, full time, and fully on-site M-F (must live locally already, no relo)

Schedule: M-F regular day hours

Sr. Retail Marketing Copywriter Requirements

• 10+ years of proven experience as a copywriter or in a closely related role, preferably within advertising or an in-house creative/marketing environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating diverse writing styles , multi-channel campaign work, and measurable content impact.
• Expertise in email marketing and social media content , with a focus on conversion metrics, KPIs, and performance-based creative.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with a deep understanding of brand voice, tone, and style consistency.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles , digital marketing tactics, and customer journey-driven content.
• Ability to translate insights, research, and performance data into high-impact messaging.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and rationale.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and thrive in a fully onsite, collaborative environment.

Sr. Retail Marketing Copywriter Duties

• Develop persuasive, engaging, and conversion-focused copy for digital, print, email, social media, website content, and additional marketing collateral.
• Collaborate closely with creative leadership and marketing teams to ensure all content aligns with brand strategy, campaign objectives, and audience insights.
• Partner with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to create cohesive, integrated marketing materials across channels.
• Edit, proofread, and refine content to ensure clarity, accuracy, adherence to brand voice, and overall quality standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining high output and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitive messaging, audience behavior, and category-specific insights, incorporating findings into content development.
• Use analytics, performance data, and cross-team feedback to revise, optimize, and improve content effectiveness.
• Contribute to the strategic development of content frameworks, messaging guidelines, and creative concepts across campaigns.
